Board Programmes

The current “credit crunch” has substantially increased the pressure on Boards to perform at maximum efficiency.  Leadership and strong and transparent governance are required to enable organisations to survive and thrive. In our practice approximately 25% of all individual development programmes are at board and MD level.

We have engaged ourselves in issues such as governance, board efficiency and communication with the crucial stakeholders. In addition, we have attended the most significant programmes currently available in this field in Europe and extracted the essence for our clients.  Courses attended include: Institute of Directors (IOD) Company Direction Programme in London, the Master Class: Managing and Developing Effective Boards at the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA) in Brussels and the Non-Executive Director Programme by Odgers Ray & Berndtson in London.

Furthermore we have invested and initiated own research, for example, exploring what “investors really expect of board members”.

Our work at board level is currently focused on the following issues:

• Onboarding of “new” board members, who may have been promoted from within or externally
• Positioning of a board member within and outside of their organisation
• Increasing the effectiveness of the board through a systematic process of identifying strengths of each individual board member as well as the group
