The Achieve Coaching Model® in Action
International peers and leading coaching associations have acknowledged the model for its contribution towards creating transparency and higher quality standards in the relatively young field of coaching. The model was originally introduced to the international coach community by the “International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching” and The Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.
Our coaching programmes offer a mix of face-to-face and if desired telephone coaching sessions. The first coaching session is ideally face-to-face. Typically in the first coaching session, we will assess your current situation and explore the challenges you face. In this assessment we include all areas of your life. Our experience shows that you cannot segment them - they are an interlinked system. Based on this assessment we determine the specific direction of the coaching programme.
If you and your organisation decide it is desirable, we can at this stage, conduct a variety of psychometric tests or interviews with your work colleagues to obtain their feedback on your observed strengths and development areas. We can also shadow you in some typical situations of your work life, or analyse existing performance records (see also Psychometric Tests, Assessments and 360 Degree Feedback). However, these services will only be included if explicitly requested by you and your organisation.
Having established your current “road map” we will then brainstorm alternative options to your current situation. As we progress we assist you to examine what you really want and how you will know when you have achieved it. We will provide a reality check—do your goals match your skills and ambitions? Do you have the resources to accomplish your goals or, if not, what do you need to do fill the gap?
We then move on to helping you to initiate a wide range of options to achieve your goals. Having produced a range of options we guide you in evaluating your options. Together we will develop a concrete action plan and we monitor progress and help you to keep on track.
